This place is awesome, very delicious food!! and the waitress are the best!

Staff needs to tell drive thru customers to drive around and park meanwhile waiting for food instead of blocking drive thru customers who ordered ahead. What's the point of calling in an order if I have to wait for everyone ahead of me to get my order just because common sense isn't common. Told staff and lady acted like she didn't speak English then told her in Spanish and she closed the window on me.

Water in rice. Food cold. Tea like brown water. Meat in chimichangas bad. Chiminagas tortilla was cooked in old grease.

They are so busy be prepared to wait. Not enough staff. But the food is good. Guess that explains why they're busy, but not why they are short-staffed.

Used to eat here all the time and food, service, and prices have all been reasonable. However not once but twice I've been in recently and sat at a table without being acknowledged for 10 minutes. Not super busy either time. Asked for a menu eventually and was told i had to order at the counter while simultaneously a waitress rushes past to greet and give a menu to hispanic man that just walked in. They don't like white people. That was made clear today. Boycott this racist resteraunt..

The menudo was really good. They also give you a very good serving of meat on your tacos. Loved it.

Excellent food I usually have breakfast here. Today I had huevos Rancheros which are superb but be sure and try their breakfast tacos as well

Place looks a little shabby, but the food was great, authentic Mexican if you're looking to run away from chicken-tenders-on-a-taco Tex-Mex! The salsa was purreed but had bite, the beans didn't taste like they were out of a can. You can get lengua and tripa here, too! The only thing that was a problem was that my wife ordered fries and the server heard 'rice', so we got a plate of arroz 😆 but that was more funny than anything when we figured out!

Horrible service. Waited over 25 minutes to get my food from drive thru... ask why I stayed? There's was no room to get out as another car was in front of me and a car behind me.

Food is good over priced. 👍 service sucks I'd suggest to go ordering. The staff doesn't speak English that's ok I speak enough Spanish for them to understand. So if you want the real Jalisco experience. Go here.

We are new to CP but have been here more than any other restaurant. Afraid from moving from Houston wouldn’t find a place like this. Love the Mexican Restaurant chains but definitely like to come to change it up with more Authentic Mexican food. The breakfast tacos are great.

The Food here is absolutely amazing, but the service is even better! The staff here was going above and beyond to make sure we were all set! I would highly recommend this place if you’re looking for authentic Mexican food with great service!

Over 20min wait for four breakfast tacos is crazy. Will go to the many other places in town from now on.

Atmosphere was good nice and cold inside. The food was delicious ordered a milanesa plate it was huge. My daughter ordered flautas abd enjoyed it too. The waitress was always missing not sure if it was just ours. Asked for more chips and salsa never got we had to keep tracking her down. There were 3 other people there so not busy and why a 4 star. Didnt have Margaritas but overall a good visit.

We used to frequent here because their tacos were so good. My brother got the steak and shrimp and the shrimp were undercooked and the steak overcooked. My mother ordered potato and egg and the waitress came over and asked her how did she wanted it cooked?, seriously and then they didn't even cook it correctly. I had the taquitos and while they tasted good my rice and beans were cold, so I didn't eat them.

I've been once before and the breakfast tacos were alright. I went for lunch today and sat in the drive thru line for over 20 minutes with out anyone coming to the window. You have to wait till you get to the front window to order since the microphone to take orders seems to be broken with a sign. Granted they were busy inside but they were completely ignoring the drive thru. I ended up leaving without any food. I will not be back.

Authentic, not pretentious and great food. Dont be afraid to try something new. HELPFUL TIP...the light green sauce is NOT guacamole...use in moderation.

La Tapatia is a Mexican restraunt that is a divine little hole in the wall, that at first glance seems like nothing special due to the advertising outside is done with a Polaroid picture that has been cut out. But the service, the decor and the exceptionally good food are something to behold! I suggest their beef fajita burrito and their chips with the salsa. I believe it also comes with queso. They also have wonderful breakfast. I recommend you stop in at least once.

My menudo was flavorless. I had to keep asking the waitress for silly items ie napkins, lime (for menudo), lettuce for the posole. This was Ehhh

Very bad experience currently Sick with food poisoning while I was awakened to my toddlers diarrhea with blood in it I will never go back and the service was awful all the Latinos were served hot fresh food and my family which is white was served something to the equivalent of slop cause I’m now facing the repercussions! Save yourself and don’t eat here.

Love their taco salad with beef fajita. Only problem was that I ordered the chips and queso and the queso was very liquidy and lukewarm. Only disappointment.

Horrible customer service.Called in for to-go order, lady hung up on me. Thoight it was a mistake, called back.Lady answered, took my order, and hung up. Never took my name, no bill total.. just hung up.So i waited about 10mins, then drove through the drive thru. I explained the situation, and she infact had made my food. But every order was incorrect.Beef instead of chicken, sour cream and lettuce when there shouldnt have been. 2 enchiladas when i ordered 3, it was just unacceptable. By the time I recieved my missing quesodilla, everything else was cold. I tried to get everything fixed and magically they didnt speak english. I called in hopes of reaching a manager and same thing, "no ingles." Never again will I order food from them.

This place made me a custom breakfast burrito just the way my growing unborn baby ordered. Haha They give these sides as well. There is no picture of the egg, cheese, and potato burrito as its since been eaten.But, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food great! The wait till was short when I went for a late lunch, but I imagine it being busy some evenings as it is good food, in a good location in CP.

Very sad found a hair in my food. Beans are canned and how is nacho cheese drenched in grease. Yuck! I pray we don’t get sick. Tapatia nachos had so much canned beans and grease, I asked it to be returned but they wouldn’t take it off my bill. Disgusting!

If you are thinking of stopping in here for any reason...don’t. The service was awful, 2 waitresses could not speak English and had a hard time taking our order for a bacon egg and cheese breakfast taco. Brought the order out wrong twice before we ended up having to leave for an appointment.

I feel like they know that they can skimp on quality because they’re really the only taqueria in town. I grew up going to dank taquerias in south Houston with legit tortas, tacos, burritos, sopes, etc... This place WILL disappoint if you’re expecting good food. It’s also dirty. I gave it 2 stars because I didn’t get food poisoning. If you’re white you get treated like dirt and they’ll slop something together for you and take their time about it but if your Hispanic they’ll hook you up with the best salsa bottles and give you hot, fresh food. Seems to be an issue in this area.

The lady at the window doesn't speak English. So she doesn't ask a co worker to help she just butchers your order. I asked for 6 Steak taco's with cheese and cilantro on it. Simple right? NO I only recieved 6 corn taco with NO Steak just cheese and cilantro. I repeated my order 5 times. How many times do you have to say it

Had them for the first time today and it was amazing. Had the beef enchiladas with rice and refried beans. Food was easy to pick up after ordering ahead of time. Portions of food could be a litte bigger but other than that I would say that everything else was great.

GREAT breakfast tacos tacos. I like the potato and chorizo tacos. I eat 3 and I am full past lunch. Service is always fast and my order is always correct.

How can you leave 0 stars. Not only does their menu say one price and they they charge you more, but when you show them their own menu's price they insist on overcharging you and they ACTUALLY start insulting you making a scene and yelling "WHAT YOU CAN'T PAY?" HORRIBLE SERVICE, HORRIBLE PEOPLE, HORRIBLE PLACE. DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!!!

This place was OK. One of the waitresses didn't have the best attitude, almost looked like she didn't want to take my order. And I actually got a piece of plastic on my salad. They should really step up the customer service.

Delicious, authentic, best around. People complaining about the drive through and leaving bad reviews... this isn’t fast food. It isn’t prepared and set under a heat lamp until you order it like a fast food drive through. It’s made to order. And worth waiting a couple minutes!
